Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Yashodi’s website, enquiry forms, and related communications, and set out the basis on which we provide nanny concierge and introduction services in India (primarily Delhi NCR). “Yashodi”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the business operating under the Yashodi name. “You” means the individual using our channels, typically a parent or guardian.

1. Nature of our services

Yashodi is a concierge and placement facilitation service. We introduce families and vetted childcare professionals and coordinate the process with discretion. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we are not the employer of any caregiver introduced through our network, and day-to-day supervision of the caregiver remains your responsibility.

2. Scope of caregiver role: no general household work

Placements through Yashodi are intended for childcare and child-related support aligned with your brief. Caregivers introduced by Yashodi are not engaged for general household work, such as cleaning, laundry, cooking for adults, errands unrelated to children, or other domestic chores, including occasional or one-off requests. If you need domestic help, that should be arranged separately with appropriate terms and not as part of a Yashodi childcare placement.

3. Fees and commercial terms

Fees, billing cycles, and placement terms (if any) are discussed individually and confirmed in writing where applicable. This website does not state fixed prices. Nothing on the site is an offer capable of acceptance until confirmed through our normal process.

4. Information you provide

You agree that information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you will not misrepresent your household or requirements. We may decline or discontinue work with incomplete or misleading information.

5. Screening and introductions

We apply professional screening and judgment, but no process eliminates all risk. You remain responsible for final hiring decisions, contracts with caregivers where applicable, and ongoing supervision in your home.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Yashodi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of our services or introductions. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to these Terms or our services is limited to the fees you have paid to Yashodi for the specific placement or matter giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months preceding the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is lower, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yashodi from claims arising from your use of introduced caregivers, your instructions to them, or breach of these Terms, except where caused by our wilful misconduct.

8. Intellectual property

Content on this website (text, branding, layout) is owned by Yashodi or its licensors. You may not copy or exploit it for commercial purposes without permission.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurugram, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory provisions of consumer law where applicable.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
