Nanny in South Delhi: Safdarjung, Vasant Kunj, Kalkaji, and Chhatarpur
South Delhi does not hand you a society lobby and a staff lift. In Safdarjung Enclave, Kalkaji, Chhatarpur, Vasant Kunj, Munirka, Lajpat Nagar, or Chanakyapuri, the person with your baby is often the only adult in the house, on a floor, with a stair and a bell that rings all morning. Someone who has only worked in a Gurgaon tower can still be wonderful with a child and lost on the first day in that house.
The colony changes the day
- Safdarjung Enclave and Chanakyapuri are mostly independent homes. She will be alone with the child for long stretches. If she lives in, there has to be a room.
- Kalkaji and Lajpat Nagar are tighter floors. Someone who can reach you by metro or a short auto is more realistic than a live-in with nowhere to sleep.
- Vasant Kunj is several sectors. Say which pocket. The bus that works for one does not work for the next.
- Munirka sits toward Vasant Vihar. A morning ride from Gurgaon through Mahipalpur is not a plan you want to depend on.
- Chhatarpur can mean a farmhouse or a smaller house. How far you are from the main road matters more than the pin code.
The drive that looks short at night
NH48 feels easy at 10 p.m. At 8 a.m. it is a different journey, and your baby does not care. Look for someone who already lives in South Delhi, or a live-in who has moved in before your leave ends. Call two parents in Delhi who had her, not a family she left in Noida years ago. In the first week, show her who may take the child to the park, which gate the driver uses, and which clinic you would go to from that colony.

Is all of Vasant Kunj the same for a nanny?
No. The pockets are far enough apart that a morning bus either works or it does not. Say which part of Vasant Kunj, and what time you leave.
Can one person cover both Kalkaji and Chhatarpur?
Not in the same day, if she goes home at night. Hire for the house the baby sleeps in.
